Even though the masthead is in the left corner of the cover, it is in a big red box with the text being a very large and noticeable font - The masthead is in the same spot every time a new issue comes out, making to reconisable for the reader, and it is always the same colour and size.
This current affair magazine cover has a very complimenting colour scheme with red, yellow and white being the primary colours used to showcase the different articles that will be in the magazine. - they are all quite plain colours and aren’t too bright, but the red could indicate that the stories and articles in the magazine are urgent, urging readers and the audience to pick up the magazine and read it.
There is a small variation of font sizes on the magazine bit they are all around the same size and some are in all caps whereas others are in lowercase - In most magazines the text with the bigger fonts is what will be the main focus of the magazine inside, showing the target audiences that this is what they should be f;icking to and reading - it links in with the colour scheme of the magazine with the red colour making the text seem important
The main image is positioned in the middle, making it the main focus of the cover and also the magazine itself. The man in the photo is overlapping some of the box texts and text showing that he is the main picture, highlighting his importance
